Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with K-12 students, particularly with moderate/severe caseloads.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement them effectively.
• Knowledge of best practices in special education.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs.
• Create a supportive and engaging learning environment that promotes student participation and growth.
• Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to ensure a comprehensive approach to each students education.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and adapt instructional strategies as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and relevant training opportunities.
• Implement appropriate behavioral management techniques and support students in developing social skills.
