• Certifications:
  • AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP (REQUIRED)
  • ACLS (PREFERRED)
• ACLS*, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP

Mandatory Experience:

• RN Antepartum
• Minimum experience required-2 years. Screen for less than 2 years or no experience with C-Sections. 
• Float required to Postpartum unit.
• High Risk Antepartum- 6 weeks to 41 weeks
• PTL, previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, prom, twins, substance use disorder in pregnancy.
• Care of fetal demise or loss of patients both antepartum and postpartum, postpartum mother with baby in NICU, no newborns on this unit.
• Work Setting: High Risk Antepartum
• Antepartum Care and Procedures: Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation)
• IV Therapy/Phlebotomy: Maintain central lines (CVC / PICC)
• Medication & Administration: Anticoagulants, Insulin drips, Magnesium Sulfate therapy
• Labor and Delivery Management: Circulate for C-section
