Job Description

The Provider Recruiter is responsible for recruiting talent for Professional Licensed level positions including Medical Directors, Physicians, Hospitalists and Advance Practitioners Clinicians (Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants) .

The position is an integral member of the recruitment team. This individual will develop candidate pools and must be capable of generating successful results in a fast paced environment. This role will be directly responsible for both sourcing and full-cycle recruiting as well as managing special projects .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Act as a business partner and recruitment subject matter expert while applying best practices for full cycle recruitment and strategic talent acquisition
  • Plans, develops and implements strategic Professional Licensed level recruitment and employment
  • Develops plans in accordance with needs and goals of the organization
  • Develops and recommends improvements to staffing processes
  • Facilitate the end to end recruitment process; including recruitment/sourcing, interview, selection, contracting (when applicable) and onboarding of new hires
  • Pre-qualify candidates by conducting first level interviews specific to the department requirements or prepared job description to determine commensurate experience and interest level
  • Demonstrate the ability to attract, influence and convert hard to find talent through social media and other avenues available for candidate sourcing
  • Use innovative sourcing and marketing techniques to engage both active and passive candidates for hard to fill positions
  • Develop a broad professional network of top talent through existing resources and through new resources developed by the role
  • Develops a network of sourcing opportunities and maintains ongoing relationships
  • Identifies recruiting opportunities within the communities we serve and develops a strategy for outreach and participation
  • Create and maintain physician/provider contracts including amendments as designated
  • Responsible for the coordination of the onboarding process of the physicians and advanced clinical practitioners with the credentialing staff and employee services which includes but is not limited to: pre-placement physical, drug screen, background investigation, and submission of required documents to the credentialing department
  • Monitors and maintains the physician compensation spreadsheet weekly, provides appropriate documentation to payroll for processing and updates as necessary with new information
  • Responsible for the compilation, maintenance and distribution of the recruitment spreadsheet and participates in weekly recruitment call
  • Assists with the coordination and scheduling of interviews; provides appropriate follow up with interviewee and interviewer(s)
  • Assist and manage specialty projects as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be up to $80,000-90,000 annually ; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a healthcare related field
  • 2+ years of full cycle recruiting/sourcing experience in provider /physician recruitment
  • 2+ years of recruiting in a Hospital or Medical Group setting
  • Agency staffing experience is a strong plus
  • Experience in project management a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proven ability and experience in relationship building with management and candidates
  • Strong MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience in planning and organizing job fairs, networking events and mixers and working with residency programs
  • Must be extremely organized and have the ability to multi-task and have strong administrative skills
