A Lead Structured Cabling Voice and Data Technician plays a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and management of cabling systems for voice and data networks. Here are some key responsibilities and skills associated with this role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Maintenance:
  • Install, service, and maintain structured cabling systems, including fiber optic and copper cabling for voice and data networks.
  • Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and codes, such as EIA/TIA codes 568A, 569, 607, and 606.
• Meeting Deadlines:
  • Ensure all projects are completed within the specified timeframes, maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Coordinate with team members to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of cabling systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Handle the installation and decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in data center environments.
• Training and Leadership:
  • Mentor and train less experienced technicians, helping them develop the necessary skills to advance in their careers.
  • Exhibit quality workmanship and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Essential Skills:
