Job Description

A fast growing & established Pasadena based Batch Blending Plant is seeking an experienced chemical plant batch blender that can work rotating day and evening shifts.

MUST BE ABLE TO DO THE FOLLOWING:

• Ability to read, comprehend and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of plant safety.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs for making a blend.
• Ability to wear PPE such as half and full-face respirators, supplied air, rain boots for extended periods, rain suit etc.
• Daily tasks will include bending, climbing and lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Safe forklift operation
• Operating plant equipment such as pumps, blenders, air compressors and scales.
• Loading and unloading blend tanks and containers
• Loading and unloading bulk trucks
• Using basic math skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Significant standing, walking, moving, carrying, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Ability to move and lift boxes and/or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds; ability to lift and balance up to 25 pounds overhead.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Must be able to work a varied schedule with extended hours. Employee is exposed to warehouse and shop traffic, noise, and extreme temperatures from working both inside and outside.

Drug free/non-smoking workplace. Starting salary DOE with increases based on observed qualifications, plus benefits.


Pay Rate Range: $22.00 hr. to $24.00 hr. (Depending on experience)

Days: Shifts rotate every 2 weeks

Hours: 1st Shift – 5:30 am to 2:00 pm
2nd Shift – 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm

3rd Shift – 5:30 pm to 2:00 am (Night Shift)
