Job Title: Auto/Diesel Mechanic

Location: Wallingford, CT
Job Type: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 7 am to 4:30 pm
Pay: $30-60/hr

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Auto/Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles and diesel-powered equipment to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently.

We’re looking for someone with strong technical skills, a good work ethic, and a passion for solving mechanical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles (domestic and foreign)
• Conduct inspections and test drives to ensure vehicles are repaired properly
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers about vehicle issues and repair timelines
• Maintain accurate records of services and repairs
• Follow safety procedures and keep work areas clean and organized
• Stay current with automotive technology and tools

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of experience in automotive or diesel repair (fleet experience is a plus)
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
• Must have own tools
